Acne

Acne is the most common medical condition and affects over 80% of the population. Acne begins when the skin's oil glands and dead skin cells cause a blockage in the hair follicles of the skin.

These blockages can take the form of blackheads or flesh-colored bumps. Sometimes the blockages become inflamed, causing pustules or cysts. Acne can be painful and cause permanent scarring. Early treatment is important to reduce the risk for scarring, discoloration, and worsening acne.
Clayton Dermatology Group is available to treats patients of any age who suffer from acne.
