Removal of Nodules & Unwanted Lesions
Nodules and unwanted lesions can be removed at Clayton Dermatology Group. Utilizing many of the procedures used for skin cancer tumor removal, lesions are safely excised from the surrounding tissue.
When the lesion is removed with a shave excision (uses a small razor blade), cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen), the treated area usually does not require stitches. Other techniques, including a full thickness skin excision, may require stitches to close the area and minimize scarring.
